How to Change your FB Password

If a hacker manages to hack into one of your accounts, they will definitely try their luck with other services as well, so having one password for all your accounts is a very dangerous thing to do.

Creating the right password will help make sure you can log into your account - and help keep other people out. Make sure your password is unique, but memorable enough that you don’t forget it.

When you create a new password, make sure that it's at least 8 characters long. Try to use a complex combination of numbers, letters and punctuation marks.

If you see a message letting you know the password you entered isn't strong enough, try mixing together uppercase and lowercase letters. You can also make the password more complex by making it longer with a phrase or series of words that you can easily remember, but no one else knows.

Keep in mind that your Facebook password should also be different than the passwords you use to log into other accounts, like your email or bank account.

Don’t use a password that you use on other sites – if one site gets hacked and your password is stolen, hackers will often try it on other sites. Don’t share your password with anyone. If you think someone else has it, you should change it.
